"In linea d'aria"(idioma): letteralmente "come il volo del corvo".

Come NON pitturare una cassettiera.

Io sono quella che passa 3 settimane a scegliere i colori per la casa, si studia le palette, fa le foto ai tubetti di vernice per catalogare cosa c'è in negozio, quale gamma cromatica può utilizzare e poi....
Poi si stufa e prende un colore a caso che non c'entra nulla con quello che aveva pianificato perché è scema impaziente e ci colora una cassettiera... combinando un inevitabile disastro.
Ecco, è bene che la gente sappia.

I'm that kind of person that spends 3 weeks to choose the palettes for her home, takes a picture of every product in the shop to find the exact match, but... at the end  she chooses a random colour that doesn't match at all with her project. Just because she is a dumb impatient person.

Doveva essere un "pervinca" e ho comprato un blu ultramarino... Stessa cosa, no? Assolutamente NO!
I should have bought a "periwinkle" blue and I have bought a ultramarine blue: it's not the same thing, trust me!

Sorvolando la questione del colore  nel caso di pittura su legno grezzo NoN avrei dovuto usare della pittura acrilica diluita con acqua: l'acqua penetrando nel legno ha reso la superficie del mobile ruvida. In più il colore troppo diluito non ha avuto una resa perfettamente coprente.
My second bad choice was buying an acrylic paint!
Adding some water to acrylic, the untreated wood of my furniture had become been crisp and rough.
In addition, the excessively diluted color was not as opaque as it should have been.

 Come ho risolto la situazione? Ho provato a ripitturare tutto con la pittura per muro che avevo utilizzato per le pareti (playlist randomica: una volta che inizi con qualcosa scelto a caso, continui con la casualità) e fortunatamente, avendo una resa molto coprente e una composizione non troppo liquida, sono riuscita a coprire ogni cosa.
Visto che la resa era buona ho acquistato altri due campioni  di colore più scuro per dipingere il resto della cassettiera, la decorazione con gli uccellini e anche il letto.
Il colore è della Crown, non so se in Italia si trova ma è una marca ottima da quello che ho visto, l'azzurro si chiama "heavenly haze" mentre il blu/grigio/viola è un "etoile".
Non so effettivamente dire se qualunque tipo di pittura muraria vada bene per questo lavoro, ma nel mio caso mi ha permesso di risparmiare e avere un'ampia scelta di colori rispetto ai costi e la disponibilità dei colori in vernice.
Finaly I tried to solve all my mistake with... wall paint! The  Crown wall color was surprisingly wonderful!  
I used some light blue matte emulsion (Crown Heavenly Haze), the same I used on the bedroom's wall.  The wall paint worked so well I bought two darker samples of it to paint my birds decoration with: a nice dark gray-blue (Crown Etoile).
Actually I can't say if any wall paint is a good choice for painting on wood, but Crown has really good products, and I enjoyed using them.

Ho comunque rifinito il tutto con due mani di vernice trasparente satinata: meglio non lasciare la pittura muraria esposta a urti o graffi, potrebbe comunque saltare o sciuparsi, inoltre, essendo incolore, mi tornerà utile per altri progetti.

 Finally I put on two coat of clear matte varnish to protect my wood. A coat of varnish helps to preserve the painted work and of course... the wood itself.
